Job Description:

  • We are seeking a Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with a minimum of 2-year of experience for our Sheridan, WY office. Qualifications:

  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification, or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure, is preferred.
  • Two years of experience (minimum) in completing survey tasks such as:
    • Well plats for Oil and Gas
    • Easement Exhibits
    • ALTA Surveys
    • Legal Descriptions
  • Operational understanding of GPS and survey equipment
  • Proficient in Trimble Business Center
  • Experience in preparing basemaps
  • Experience with Carlson or comparable desktop Civil Survey processing software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Attention to detail

Experience:

  • Experience with oil and gas related surveying projects for oil and gas development is preferred
  • Experience with Carlson or comparable desktop Civil Survey processing software
  • Knowledge of construction is a plus
  • GIS experience is a plus

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of site design such as processing surveys, importing data and setting up drawings
  • Review permitting documents for Oil and Gas projects
  • Researches city ownership, right-of-way, and other real property issues
  • Prepares and files monument records in accordance with state statute
  • Maintain appropriate file structure and naming conventions
  • Manage projects from start to finish
  • Work as a team member
